In April 2016, together with wounded Help for Heroes veterans, I will set off on an 7 day cycle ride across South Africa in an attempt to raise £250,000 to pay for health and psychological wellbeing activities and programmes at Phoenix House, the Help For Heroes Recovery Centre at Catterick Garrison. The ride will include 7 mountain passes and over 18,000ft of climbs between Franschoek and Knysna. It will test all the riders both mentally and physically and be particularly gruelling for wounded veterans riding adapted bicycles.
