They provide services, volunteers and funding to organisations in the local area and help to alleviate the effects of homelessness and rough sleeping.

They are owners of the North Herts Sanctuary hostel and provide secure and safe accommodation nightly for up to 17 individuals. They are responsible for the maintenance of the building, and making improvements for the benefit of the residents and staff. Their volunteers publicise the need to help the homeless and raise money through a range of regular fundraising events. The charity distributes the donations in kind and money to the Sanctuary and various other deserving organisations.

North Herts Sanctuary is a 17 bed hostel, providing temporary accommodation for homeless people. Residents are entitled to a hot evening meal, breakfast and a packed lunch. There are showers, wash facilities and a laundry, a communal living / dining area and IT suite.

Stevenage Haven (www.stevenagehaven.org.uk) provide and run the day to day operational services. They also provide support and help to address the social and health needs of service users in order for them to ‘move on’ to permanent accommodation. Those using the hostel are assessed for issues such as drug and alcohol dependence, mental health and relationship problems. They are then provided with advice and means of referral for treatment.
