We are powered by people. We’re here to find a cure and improve lives, together.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Steve's brother (Nicola's uncle) Stuart was diagnosed with Parkinson's at the young age of 46. Parkinson's is a debilitating condition that results from a lack of a chemical called dopamine in the brain. There is currently no known cure for Parkinson's.

On 30 August 2015, Steve and Nicola will be taking part in a 41-mile cycle ride around the Isle of Wight to raise awareness and money for Parkinson's UK to help with its research to find a cure.

Steve and Nicola are both in training for the event and although live an hour apart, are regularly comparing notes! Steve has been incorporating cycling into his commute to the office and Nicola has been combining bike rides with her regular running training.

If you would like to donate to this very worthy cause, we would all be extremely grateful.

See you at the finish line!

Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.
