Story
Hi everyone,
With a few crazy friends, I'm planning to cycle 200 miles, mainly offroad, between Edinburgh Forth Rail Bridge and Newcastle (Newburn), via Holy Island, in aid of Ataxia UK. We're completing the event over a long weekend, 18th to 20th September. I know times are extremely tough, at the moment, but I'm hoping you might be able to spare the charity the price of a drink or a take-away, just to ease the pain, I and my companions will surely be suffering. Apart from day one, when we will only cover about 20 miles, each of the other days, we will be in the saddle for 60 miles and most of us are only used to comfy office chairs!! It should be said that none of us are Chris Hoy or Lance Armstrong types but, each of us will give our personal best for this good cause.
Whatever you personally decide, thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Update:
I'm very pleased to say that we have completed all 205 miles of our challenge and apart from 6 punctures between the six of us, we have come through relatively unscathed. There are a few aching muscles, saddle sores, bruises and blisters but, in the main, it has been an enjoyable mission, through some very pretty parts of the country. It is with many thanks to all our kind sponsors that we can call this event a total success.
