Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am cycling this event with my sons to show support for my amazing daughter-in-law, Sarah and to raise awareness of the charity Sarcoma.UK. Sarah and James married in April last year. Nine weeks later, completely out of the blue, Sarah was diagnosed with an aggressive sarcoma in bone and soft tissue affecting her spine and pelvis. Sarah has had a year of treatment and faces more to come. She has shown an amazing, strong and fighting spirit. Sarah has been fortunate to have received first class treatment at UCH in London and at The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore. Sarcoma uk have provided both she and James with invaluable support. Sarcomas are rare cancers that develop in the muscle, bone, nerves, cartilage, tendons, blood vessels, and the fatty tissue. There are around 100 sub-types of sarcoma. Sarcoma affects all ages. Sarcomas account for15% of childhood cancers and 11% of cancers in young people (15-24 yrs). Please support this small charity that has a big job to do. Any donations you make really will make a difference.
