Story
When asked what we do for a living My dad would say 'I worked on the ambulances' now this is totally downplaying what he really did. See my dad was a superhero....apart from going to work in his 'supercape' (his all in one green overalls) he saved life's. So quite often when I am asked who was your dad and I say Jab Hunter, I then am told how he saved someone else's loved one. Another loved dad who had a heart attack, someone else's precious son who had an asthma attack and many more...
My dad's life touched so many people, but he is only one of many of these superheros. How many of us take the time to think about the efforts of the wonderful people that make up The Scottish Ambulance Service? Like my dad they give up Xmas days with their families, work long and tiresome hours and really need their rest days when they come around. It would be a great honour to my Dad if we could raise some funds in his memory. This charity makes a huge difference to patients and staff.
Due to covid my dad's funeral has been restricted and so many cannot come and pay their respects. So for those of you that would have ventured out to see him off, how about donating that petrol money to this cause. Once you've done that fill up a wee dram and raise a toast for my dad.
