Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to everyone who has donated in Henry's memory.

Henry was an incredible young person who enriched the lives of all who knew him. He relished life, thoroughly enjoying learning and the excitement of being "in the mix" wherever he was, but particularly when he was with other children at school or play.

When Henry was first diagnosed with MLD we felt overwhelming sadness at what was ahead for him and absolute despair that we could not change the course of his disease. But, as always, Henry carried us through. He met such immense challenges in his life without complaint and with an absolutely wonderful easy smile and infectious laugh. He always tried his best and remained an enchanting and truly beautiful child throughout his short life.

He was so easy to love, we loved him with all of our hearts.

Henry had the fortune to meet some of the most amazing people in the world. They saw beyond his increasing physical disabilities to what he could do, and gave their utmost to enable him to live life to the full. We will always be forever in their debt.

So many people have confirmed what we already knew about him - he was exceptional and we know we are unbelievably privileged to be his Mummy and Daddy. It is excruciatingly painful to imagine life without our beautiful boy but, we know beyond a shadow of doubt, our lives have been infinitely richer for having known him.

Our hearts are completely broken but we hope Henry’s spirit is now flying free and he can run, jump, sing, shout and do all the things that were denied him in life.
