Story
The picture of Wendi at the top this page was taken less than five years ago. At that time she could walk, talk, read, write, feed and wash herself, paint, write poetry and play the piano. All these functions were taken away from her by Posterior Cortical Atrophy a rare form of Dementia, which was diagnosed in 2010. She knew she was ill, as unlike many dementias her memory and intellect remained high until near the end. She suffered dreadfully as her world fell apart.
The other pictures shown here were taken four and half years apart.
Please help research into this devastating disease by making a donation in Wendi's memory to the Brain Research Trust.
