Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Every year we donate to a chosen charity.

Plastic Pollution is a BIG issue across the globe so we decided we would like to help and for 2020 began raising money for 'Surfers Against Sewage', a local Cornwall based charity.

As you are all aware, the events for 2020 took a drastic change with the Covid-19 pandemic and our events were cancelled, although there were some "virtual events" that did take place!

To this end, we have decided to continue supporting 'Surfers Against Sewage'  for 2021, in the hope that we hit our target.

Some members of the WFC Team - Paul Hurren, Mark Rogers & Ben Church are taking it upon themselves to take part in various cycle events throughout the year (other members of the WFC Team may also get involved!)

Their first event is the “New Forest Classic” which is being held on 17th April is 132km!

Others include the Great Weston @ 100km and Mendips Challenge @ 70km

Did you know...

  • Plastic can now be found on EVERY beach in the world.
  • Every day around 8 million pieces of plastic pollution find their way into our oceans.
  • One marine mammal or sea bird dies every 30 seconds due to plastic pollution.
  • 95% of our oceans remain unexplored. Are we killing what we have yet to discover?

Please donate if you can, whether small or big, anything you give is much appreciated and is all going towards a very worthy cause.

Thank you
