Story
As some of you know I travel as a volunteer to Lourdes each year with Across by Jumbulance making the impossible possible for sick and less able people. Covid has resulted in all trips this year being canceled and next year uncertain. Across still need to function but like other charities are struggling and are currently trying to
raise £150k.
Another of my passions is walking the Camino de Santiago and again I can’t do that this year so I have recruited 11 fellow pilgrims :
Dave Connarty, Bobby White, Kate Clark, Jackie Brogan, Claire Steedman, Colette Loftus, Siobhan Kelly, Alf McKendrick, Ann Comeford, Joanne Briggs & Lynn Del Bianco
Together we are walking a virtual Camino from StJean Pied du Port to Santiago de Compostela a journey of about 500 miles from 29th August to 7th September. You can follow our progress each day with pictures and stories from our Camino.
We are doing this because we want to be able to be here next year and keep the Jumbulance on the road, providing travel for those that are sick, disabled and terminally ill. The Coronavirus pandemic has meant that all travel has been cancelled and we have lost an entire years income. We need £150,000 to keep the Jumbulances on the road.
