Story

Vinay’s Story.

Vinay was the light of everyones life. He had the most cheeky and contagious smile, not to mention his laugh. He was an amazing son, brother, grandson, friend and more. He had many passions; playing the dhol, cooking, singing and most importantly… LIVERPOOL!!! Vinay would pick playing the dhol over anything, his love for his team was unmatched (BeatsbyLions). His amazing team presented him with so many once in a lifetime opportunities, from staring in a movie to playing the dhol at the Commonwealth Games. He had a charm that not many people have, he could make friends with anyone within a click. Anyone who had the pleasure of knowing Vinay knew he was an all round star. Vinay had many names off those who loved him ‘Vinny’, ‘Vinder’ ‘Vince’, the list goes on.. he will always be ‘Invincible‘. His love and admiration for his 2 dogs could‘nt compare to anything. Every good day for Vinay would end with a glass of Jameson and Coke, no ice. At any opportunity Vinay would meet up with his friends, go out and just be a normal yound lad. He would even successfully gate crash every night out Dad went on with his friends. He was simply beautiful inside and out, there are no words that can justify how perfect Vinay was.

We are completely overwhelmed by all the lovely things everyone has to say about Our Vinay, no one has a single bad word to say. Although his time was short he touched so many peoples hearts. Vinay has left a massive mark and there’s now a big piece to our puzzle missing.

Unfortunatley, on the 11th december 2022 God decided to take Vinay away from us. Vinay suddenly passed away from Myocarditis at 23 years of age. Myocarditis is a condition which causes the heart to inflame and enlarge, if not treated the heart becomes so enlarged that it is no longer able to function. Our time was cut too short. Due to lack of medical assistance and all the doors being shut when trying to find medical help, it was too late. When Vinay passed away, a piece of our hearts went with him.

One young person passes away suddenly each week due to undiagnosed or untreated myocarditis, it can affect anyone at any age. We believe more people should know about this condition and we urge everyone to always get medical help when you know youre not feeling right. You know your body better than anyone else. If more people are aware of the condition Myocarditis, it could prevent future tragedies and Sudden Adult Deaths meaning no family has to go through what we have.

The research team of Myocarditis UK are currently going into a new phase within which they will be using stem cells to test on lab grown hearts. The lab team at Royal Brompton hospital and Imperial college London are working out how to switch the gene which causes Myocarditis off and are trying the create a treatment which will help to prevent and hopefully cure this condition overall.

All funds will be donated towards the research and work done by Myocarditis UK.

‘My Vinay’

Vinay, when you were born, I danced from dusk till dawn.

You were the apple of my eye, you were the light of my life.

You were my crown and glory, your birth started my happy story.

You were my pride and joy, my beautiful wonderous boy.

You were a blessing in disguise, you gave meaning to my life.

Vinay why have you parted? To the land of the departed.

Now I don’t have you to hold, this house feels so empty and cold.

With this deep unexplainable pain, I will never be the same again.

I don’t have the words to say, I hope you understand why I’m this way.

Now, theres a wreath at the door, i havent a clue where to look for you anymore.

You will never be gone, sharing your happiness all around.

Your broad radiant smile, for which i will give the world to see for a while.

You will be remembered with love each and everyday.

My son,

My boy,

My vinay.

In memory of our Angel,

Vinay Bhikhi.
