We are members of 2 Signal Regiment 214 Squadron Viking Troop, based in the historic city of York.

To celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Royal Corps of Signals formation we are taking part in the Royal Signals 100 for 100 challenge. 

The challenge will see the individuals of Viking Troop cover 100km each over the course of June to raise money for the Royal Signals Charity.

In addition to the 100 for 100 challenge, in order to pay homage to the Viking heritage of the city of York, our troop will split down into two teams 'Ragnar' and 'Rollo', and race a distance of 940 miles, the approximate distance that would be travelled by a Viking raiding party traveling from northern Jutland in Denmark, through the Humber, up the river Ouse to York and back again.

In compliance with social distancing guidelines, all runs, or walks will be conducted individually and recorded with strava with regular updates on this page so that you can see how we are doing.
