Story

Hello, and Namaste! Thank you for visiting Vigilance's JustGiving page.

Vigilance is deeply proud and indebted to its working association with the wonderful and industrious Gurkha people of Nepal.

The company is committed to its CSR and social enterprise agenda, and its charitable partnership with the Gurkha Welfare Trust. All donations to this page will support these charitable initiatives.

Over the past 36 months Vigilance has successfully contributed over £45,000 to fund a desperately needed school reconstruction project in Chiuribot, a remote village in the Gurkha heartlands. A third of that sum has been raised on this page alone. Thanks to your generosity the Siddartha School has now officially opened, at a ceremony attended by senior Vigilance directors. But there is more to do!

Nepal remains Asia’s poorest nation with its lowest GDP at approximately $20 billion. And the country is suffering from a labour shortage in rural areas, and a labour and brain drain to wealthier Asian neighbours and middle eastern nations. Vigilance's current initiatives are aimed at addressing these challenges, while we continue to support the education of the children of Chiuribot.

A wholehearted danvayad (thank you!) from all at Vigilance for your continued support. Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your donation will be sent directly to the GWT.
