Story
On 9th September I am taking part in a triathlon as part of a team that's been put together by the Specialised Ability Centre UHSM. The team will be made up of patients and staff members working together. This is the first time I've ever done anything like this, even when I had both of my feet, so I thought it would be a good chance to raise some money for a great charity!
The Neuro Foundation helps people with Neurofibromatosis (NF) live better lives - people like me! I always knew I had NF when I was younger, but I never fully understood how serious it was until I was older and met a specialist nurse funded by the Neuro Foundation.
Whilst NF isn't the only reason I lost my leg, it certainly was the catalyst for a few of the issues I faced, so it seemed like a good choice for my first fundraiser!
