Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On the 13th January 2023 my beautiful, kind, caring and brave Mum sadly passed away peacefully with myself, Dad and my sister by her side.
With the love and support of those that have been there for me, I decided that the best way to celebrate my mums incredible life was by doing something incredible in her memory.
As Mum loved walking she took part in the walk 1000 mile challenge every year which sadly in 2023 she never got the chance to finish.
So in 2023 I completed my own challenge to run 1000 miles. I actually ran 1326 miles in total, completing 15 half marathons and ended the year by running a full 26.2 mile marathon which had a finish line at the village church where my Mum lays to rest.
This year I am taking on another challenge to take part in the London Marathon, just 16 weeks after running my last one! I’ve suffered with injury a lot, having recently being diagnosed with a chronic condition that has impacted my training. But I continue to keep putting one foot in front of the other and have no intention of quitting.
I have chosen to fundraise for an incredible charity called EGFR positive as they provide support for people living with the rare type of cancer that my mum had. They were a huge support to my Mum and they have already been so supportive of my crazy challenge and I want to do this for them so I can help as many people as I can as I know this would make my Mum so very proud.
Mum, I love you. I miss you every minute of every day and I am doing this all for you 💕
