Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit this JustGiving page for Vickie Hughes. Vickie sadly passed away on 26th March 2022 in Glan Clwyd Hospital.
The National Memorial Arboretum was a charity close to Vickie's heart as she was a WRAF, she fundraised for The Royal British Legion and supported forces charities.
We first visited The National Memorial Arboretum in August 2016, Vickie having made a promise to Andrew our son on his wedding day that we would look for his friend and colleague Corporal Sarah Bryant's name on the Armed Forces Memorial Wall. We found Sarah's name and spent a few minutes in quiet reflection.
Vickie found The National Memorial Arboretum to be a peaceful, relaxing and tranquil place where she was able to reflect and enjoy the calmness of the venue. Little did we know when we found Sharon's name that we would be dedicating a tree to our son Sergeant Andrew Hughes of The Intelligence Corps who sadly died in October 2016.
