Story

Led by the Vickers Well-being Group, a crew of 17 Vickers Oils' employees have taken up the huge challenge of walking the 24 mile Yorkshire Three Peaks route in aid of the wonderful St. Gemma’s Hospice in Leeds. The group will set off from Horton-in-Ribblesdale early on Saturday the 4th September, first climbing Pen-y-ghent, then Whernside and finally tackling Ingleborough with the aim of completing in under 12 hours!

St Gemma’s Hospice is a Leeds based charity which provides invaluable expert care and support for local people with life-limiting and terminal illnesses. Care is offered to patients and their carers in the Hospice’s In-Patient Unit, through the St Gemma’s community team and via the day services, which includes a Day Hospice and Out-Patient Department.

We would like to ask you to support our effort in September by sponsoring our group to help ensure St Gemma’s can continue to offer what can only be described as a vital and wonderful service.
