My mother's Uncle (mummoo) was known to us affectionately as Hafizjee. He was an amazing man mashAllah, who cared for my mother and his sister (my grandmother) when they were going through extremely tough times. He passed away in his fifties with a sudden brain haemorrhage. He was a wonderful man and a Hafiz of Quran (he taught Quran to all of us). He treated us like kings always and we were all extremely close to him. He and his wife (Nano) were both amazing and she also passed away from the same condition.

I would like to give charity in their names so they can benefit after they have passed away. 

This money will provide practical help to save the lives of orphans and widows in Syria, many of whom have been through much more than any of us can bear. They have lost their homes, husbands, fathers and sons. Please see the video below to appreciate what a child in Syria has gone through.

The key project I am collecting for is the building of brand new villages to help those people rebuild their lives, providing food, clean water etc. As far as the orphans are concerned:

Sahl ibn Sa’d reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “The one who cares for an orphan and myself will be together in Paradise like this,” and he held his two fingers together.
