Hello! Thank you for visiting VetPartners Central Support's JustGiving Page! A little background on what we're doing to raise money for Pets As Therapy...

VetPartners Central Support are off on their virtual jollies to Italy!! At least this way we're avoiding having to quarantine! We are going to be covering the mileage from VetPartners Spitfire House based in York to our Italian practice, Clinica Veterinaria Costa D'Argento. It is approximately 1173 miles way and we aim to travel this in the month of October by running, walking, swimming, horse riding.. basically anything where we're covering some distance! we're going to be tracking our mileage using the app, Strava. Everyone taking part has joined the 'VetPartners PAT Fundraising' club through Strava; on here we can track exactly how far we have traveled, also who in Central Support has done the most mileage - will anyone take on The Proclaimers and go for the 500 miles?!

Pets As Therapy (PAT) is a national charity founded in 1983. There are approximately 6000 active PAT visiting volunteer teams across the UK who would normally be visiting people in need of companion animal therapy. People who due to their circumstances cannot have access to a pet of their own. Can you imagine what it would be like to no longer receive the comfort and joy that your own pet brings you? Every week PAT visiting teams help thousands of people in hospitals, care homes, hospices, prisons and schools, but since Coronavirus struck all PAT activities have been halted.Pets As Therapy are determined to weather this storm and the only way is to keep the charity running and to respond to the limitations inflicted on us by lockdown in new and innovative ways...
