Dear friends, 

It's starting to look a lot like Xmas and we are thrilled to kick off the holiday season with you all! There's a lot that we have to be thankful for so we shall celebrate big time tonight but it's also at times of celebration when we should not forget those less fortunate.

That's why at the dinner a few of us will be auctioning skills/goods we hold dear to raise money for MS-UK, a charity that works to make the life of people with Multiple sclerosis (MS) better. MS is an auto-immune disease, where the immune system gets confused and instead of attacking an infection or virus, it turns on itself and attacks the nerve cells, disrupting the ‘messages’ being transmitted from and to the brain, causing them to slow down, become distorted or not get through at all. MS affects +100k people in the UK only and there are roughly three times as many women with MS as men.

Having MS is a daily challenge for the people affected and their families, as many of us tonight know. So, as we all run home to celebrate the (several) holidays with friends and family, we want to make sure our little Thanksgiving party helps to bring joy and hope to those affected by MS and their families.
