Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. The charity I am supporting is close to my heart and I hope you will be able to support me in raising money for The Children's Growth Foundation.
I am hoping to run the Bupa London 10k, Basingstoke Half-Marathon and Great South Run this year, so please support me in completing this triple challenge.
A bit about my story and a bit about the charity.......
My fourth child, Louis, was born 4 years ago, 5lbs, IUGR, low tone, a few anomolies and no real explanation as to why. Since then he has had physio (delayed gross motor skills), speech therapy, portage, numerous tests and to our delight began to walk at 3 years. His height has tapered off steadily since before his 2nd birthday, if not much earlier. He now stands around 90cm at 4 years (cute and cherubic). It seems a long time, but he is now just about to start daily growth hormone therapy and we have high hopes for the future. Louis' speech is improving along with his gross motor skills, so we are slowly ticking the boxes. WIth a great sense of humour and smiley face he is a ray of sunshine in our lives. We are awaiting an MRI to determine the extent of pituitary hormones affected.
The Foundation is the UK's leading charity relating to children's growth.
