Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

The University of Glasgow Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) Awareness Week events are run by 3rd year Microbiology students, with the intention of spreading the word about AMR and what we can all do to curb this fast growing issue.

What is AMR? Many common bugs can develop resistance to antibiotics used to treat them - and these traits can spread among different types of microbes very quickly, making this a huge threat to human health. There are simple steps we can all to take to combat AMR, and the UofG team are here to raise awareness of these actions in the form of minimum-risk maximum-fun events including quizzes, Netflix nights and Coffee breaks - visit our Facebook page for more info! https://www.facebook.com/GUAntibioticAwareness/?ref=br_rs

We are raising money for Antibiotic Research UK, who do fantastic work to find new antibiotic treatments and therapies. Please consider donating and sharing this cause with your friends and family - there has never been such urgency to fund this kind of research! Any donation is hugely appreciated.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
