Story
UK Asbestos Training Association set the standards in
asbestos training and ensures that its members meet those standards. Our Members train in excess of 200,000 tradespeople each year.
We strive to raise awareness of the dangers of working with
asbestos and health risks associated. Mesothelioma/ Asbestosis.
Our partnership with nominated charity The British Lung Foundation (BLF) progresses well and has seen them receive over £3000 in donations.
We have launched our Just Giving page, to spread the word of our fundraising activities.
In 2016, we will be collecting at local and national business events for BLF. And hosting fundraising activities.
UKATA held a Charity Fundraiser 26th February 2016 in support of The British Lung Foundation. We raised more than £150 at the event in Sheffield. There was a great crowd in attendance, who enjoyed performances from UKATA Director Bob Bridge and Friends. The event was held at the newly refurbished Fairway in Birley. Guitar solos, stand up comedy and good old fashioned blues were all part of the entertainment. For more information on how UKATA support the BLF - see https://lnkd.in/duhhxxC
Craig Evans UKATA General Manager and Sasha Brailsford UKATA Social Media and Marketing Assistant have volunteered to take part in a Charity Skydive on 28th May 2016 with a target of raising at least £2000 for the event.
