Have you got a shaggy dog story to share?   We have been living through strange times being isolated from friends and family for many weeks.  During that time one certainty has been that our hair keeps growing.   Many will be looking forward to that first visit to the hairdresser or barbers, or even considering a home haircut!  Could we ask you to donate the equivalent of 10% of your hair cut fee or any  amount of your choice to ucare.  Let's have fun too, send us your update a before and after photo for us to share on the page.  

Cancer doesn't stop during lockdown, neither do the anxieties of lockdown for people with cancer, whether it is the delay of operations and treatments or the restrictions of shielding themselves due to their vulnerability, many are living through incredibly stressful times.

We are hearing of the sad fact that people with cancer symptoms are also failing to go to their GP or hospital for fear of catching the virus so many new cancers are not being picked up early which is key to effective treatments.

Like many charities UCARE has had to cancel or postpone all our events and fundraisers  but  we are always looking at ways to come back even stronger and do what we do best in raising cancer awareness whilst supporting people in the aftermath of COVID 19
