Story
Lots of people are becoming more environmentally aware and conscious of the impact that we are all having on the Earth.
Staff at TGPS choose not to give cards out at Christmas in order to limit this waste and instead think of ways in which we can support a Charity.
This year we would like to support our global community and have chosen to support the Small Steps Project.
The Small Steps Project is a humanitarian organisation and UK registered charity who work around the world with families that live on rubbish dumps as this is their only option of gaining any sort of income or food. This project works with the children and families that are living and surviving in these horrendous conditions to take small steps to get the children into education and the adult's sustainable employment or income to get them off these dumps and rubbish grounds.
The Small Steps Project has had great success of helping families on around 10 huge dumping ground projects, however, there is still more that needs to be done in order to help these children and families.
Staff from TGPS are participating in a virtual 'Walk to Lapland' and aim to walk (run, jog and skip) 1930 miles between now and Christmas. We are also welcoming parents, carers and children to join us in achieving this target.
Any donations we receive would be greatly appreciated by the charity.
