Springboard Chippenham is a charity that provides support for pre-school children (aged 0-5) with special needs and their families. I worked here as an NHS therapist and I am now a trustee for the charity. The centre is a base for families to gain information and support, for local pre-school staff to gain training and most importantly for the children to have a safe, specialist and stimulating play environment to enjoy alongside other children. The children who attend all have special education and/or medical needs. At Springboard the children have a 2:1 adult to child ratio, can access specialist play equipment and enjoy bespoke play experiences that they would not be able to access anywhere else locally.
