Story

Paul put the community at the centre of everything he did. Over the years, he's amassed the most cherished group of friends, colleagues and peers. Many of these relationships have been forged around Paul's love of charity and no more so than his longstanding work and support for The Family Care Trust, where he has been Chairman of the Board for some 25 years.

The charity strives to support people with mental health conditions, learning disabilities and physical disabilities throughout Solihull. Each year, hundreds of lives are positively impacted by their work across four locations in the borough that vary from day care centres for the elderly, to in-community and supported living care, to rehabilitation and work-based learning opportunities at Newlands Bishop Farm (the venue for Paul's Celebration of Life).

As many of you know, Paul never stopped. Rather aptly, he and the fantastic team and Board at the charity have been working through an ambitious and transformative project to develop a new facility to accommodate more adults requiring care for the years to come. This project is due to complete towards mid-2024 and will provide a large kitchen and dining area, as well as space for a wide array of training courses.

We would really appreciate your support to ensure this project becomes a fitting tribute and another legacy of Paul - a wonderful husband, father, brother, friend, colleague and pillar of our community.
