Thank you for taking the time to visit this JustGiving page, set up in memory of my darling wife, Tracey, who passed away in December 2020 of lung cancer.

Tracey raised money for Autistica when it was one of her employer Deutsche Bank's nominated charities. She did so by walking parts of the Great Wall of China (2016 - self-titled as 'Mrs Hall vs The Great Wall') and trekking across Iceland (2017). 

Autistica funds research and shapes policy to help autistic people live long, happy, healthy lives. Its aims resonated very strongly with Tracey, and she was proud to be associated with the charity. She maintained her connection with Autistica even after its partnership with Deutsche Bank ended.

I quote Tracey's own beautiful words to explain why she supported Autistica:

"One of the most precious gifts that many of us have, and can so easily take for granted, is that deep, peaceful feeling that comes from being understood in the world. But can you imagine what life would be like without this? Living in a world that constantly threatens chaos and to overwhelm? How would you communicate and connect to those around you? How could you ever truly know what it is to feel safe and to belong? 

I know everyone deserves the beautiful gift of aliveness and connectedness that you and I have every day, and to be understood."

If there was ever a person for whom this was true, that person was Tracey.
