Story
My brother, Trev Richardson was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease on 1st December 2005 at only 38 years of age. Everyone that knew him can vouch for the fact that he faced the disease with amazing bravery, determination and extremely good humour! He definitely fought it all the way and tried not to let it get in the way of enjoying many, many fun times with family and friends. Sadly, Trev lost his battle with this cruel disease on the 27th April 2010 and will always and forever be missed and remembered by all that knew him.
Next May 2012 Tracey & Jennie - on behalf of the Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA) are setting out on a challenge of a lifetime to trek the Machu Picchu trail in Peru to support MND. Between us we are hoping to raise at least £7,000 through sponsorship.
It is a challenging trek on steep trails climbing to 4200m in diverse mountainous country with the major problem of altitude (and not just our high heels!), but of course we know that we can "conquer all"!!
We have asked for 3 Peruvian chappies to carry our luggage because of course one likes to look ones best at the campsite when eating a hearty meal of guinea pig (glad I am a veggie!).
Please help where you can
Adiós amigos!
Tracey & Jennie
