I had grade 3, aggressive Breast Cancer. I found my tumours, by checking my breasts, after seeing the Change & Check Campaign, on ITV Lorraine Kelly's morning show. I have had this for 4yrs and I still have one more treatment to go. I'was asked to take part in this event in 2020, along with other ladies on the same journey as me, coordinated with Future Dreams Charity. This is raising funds to support women through their breast cancer journeys. FD works, on a number of campaigns to create awareness and fund research projects, with a main focus on secondary breast cancer. Over 50,000 people are diagnosed with breast cancer in the UK every year, the equivalent of one person every 10 minutes according to Breast Cancer Care. To date, Future Dreams has raised over £5m pledging funds, towards the charities three aims - support, awareness and research, focusing on secondary breast cancer. My fight has taken just over 4yrs with my last treatment on Friday 11th August. As I was too sick to do the original climb, me and my daughter Elliana are going to celebrate the end and will do our own O2 Climb, even though it’s a couple of years late.
