Hi My name is Tracey. My Cousin Ryan is 16 years old and he has Autism. Autism is a disorder of the brain which affects the way that the sufferer processes information and the world around them. Because Ryan has Autism his future, and those who also suffer, seems very uncertain. Getting and keeping a job is a hugh undertaking and most employers won't employ someone with Autism. This is where The Autism Trust comes in. Founded by Polly Tommey in 2007 after her son Billy was diagnosed with Autism. She has relentlessly fought and strived to ensure that people with Autism have a voice and get heard. The Autism trust, amongst other things, helps create opportunites for people with Autism to develop and grow with the aim that they can be employed and go on to live as much of a normal life as they possibly can. This can only be done with the help of volunteers and the kind donations given to the charity. So Please help me support Polly and all those that work hard at The Autism Trust to help people like Ryan and Billy to give them the best future that we can.
