Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Our beautiful mum sadly passed away on the 25th January 2021 after suffering from a hypoxic seizure due to Covid 19.
With no warning at all she passed out and stopped breathing. The air ambulance attended 1st as they were able to get there and begin trying to save mum within 6 minutes and the normal paramedics took around 20 minutes by road.
They spent an hour and twenty minutes performing CPR on mum which is not only physically but emotionally demanding and while they thought they still had a chance they refused to give up as my dad and brother watched on feeling completely powerless and distraught. They had everything on the helicopter to save mum without the trauma of moving her to hospital however despite being able to get get mums heart started 2/3 times they were unable to get her breathing on her own and mum lost her fight and sadly passed away.
The reality is that despite being a crucial part of the emergency services, they are completely funded by charity, and it costs around £15000 per day to keep them operational. Obviously anything we raise would massively help and we completely appreciate anyone who wishes to show their support. The next year we will be doing various events and fundraisers to raise more so watch this space.
