Story
Me and my 3 friends, will sail from Sai Gon to Phu Quoc, in a week to 10 days, to waive Newborns flag across the Tien, Hau river and the sea around Phu Quoc, and to spread out the message of saving more babies in Vietnam. During this meaningful journey, we will also bring gifts to Commune Health stations in the remote area of the Mekong River, where the medical facilities are poor and the care for mothers and babies faces many difficulties.
This is my another charity activity, after my cycling from HCM - Nha Trang - Da Lat - HCM in 9 days, around 1,000 km last year, to raise funds for Newborns.
Newborns Vietnam is a charity dedicated to reducing
neonatal mortality in Vietnam by improving education and strengthening existing
hospital based care. Working with public health partners in Vietnam, they work
to improve the survival rate of newborn infants and their long term health.
