Story
Thanks for taking the time to read this.
On 26 February 2023 I'm running the Brighton half marathon...again...in support of Amaze, a local charity that's done a lot to support me and my family. I'll be running in a pink tutu, some fetching rainbow fishnet tights and fairy wings. Oh, and I'll have my wand too.
If you help me get to the £2000 mark I'll have to add a feather bra to the mix. Don't ask...
In 2021 I ran the same race and made a half-hearted plan to raise a few hundred quid for Amaze. Then my family, friends and colleagues got involved. Together we raised over £1000. And therein began my problems...
Somewhere along the way I accepted a dare to wear a pink tutu (a colleague said she'd double her donation if I did). Then I stupidly told people if we got to £1000 I'd wear fishnet stockings. I was confident this would never happen!
Except it did! So in 2022 the fishnets came out to play. Along with fairy wings and the wand, because we hit the £1500 mark. So next on the list is a flipping feather bra.
I'm doing this all for Amaze. Amaze provides information, advice and support for families of children with special educational needs and disabilities. They've helped my family understand so much about autism and how to support our son, Oliver, as he journeys through life.
If you can spare a few quid to help Amaze help other families like mine, then please chuck a donation my way. Pennies, pounds, it's all good. And very much appreciated
Oh, and apparently donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity. So there you have it.
