Right now, millions of children are in danger. They face violence, disease, hunger and the chaos of war and disaster. Unicef ensures more children get life-saving food, vaccinations, education and protection than anyone else. With your help, we can build a safer world for children. unicef.org.uk

Story

Hi,

UPDATE: Race successfully completed! Official time 53.41. Yay!

I am running a 10km race with my sister on 3rd May in Geneva. Details here:  http://www.genevemarathon.org/en/race/view/10_km1

I only started running a year ago after almost 30 years of not even owning any trainers. My target time is 1 hour. I am sure some of my more cynical friends (you know who you are) will be running a sweepstake on how far I get before the paramedics are called.

Anyone who donates >£20 can track me live during the race.

Thanks,

Tom

P.S.

Before you Gift Aid your donation, ask yourself whether you want your taxes diverted to Unicef away from UK schools, hospitals, unemployment benefits and all those other crucial aspects of the welfare state that we support with our taxes.

If you want more of the nation's taxes to go to charities without less going to core aspects of the welfare state, then vote for a political party that is not trying to lower rates of taxation.

And if you think Unicef deserves 25% more than you are donating, then give them some more of your own money.
