Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page :)
The Injured Players Foundation is a charity that supports individuals who have sustained catastrophic, debilitating and life changing injuries whilst playing rugby. They are there right from the very first day and continue to provide support for the rest of the individual's lives - from monetary grants to pay for mobility equipment that allow for independent living, to regular visits and emotional support, to engaging activities such as meeting various rugby stars!
The work they do is so important to each individual affected by injury, and to the rugby community as a whole. Not only do they provide such vital support services, they also conduct research into the causes of catastrophic injuries and how to prevent them from happening, helping to reduce further incidences and raise awareness to veteran players and budding youngsters alike. Here is a link to their website should you wish to find out more about their invaluable work, including personal journies and stories :) http://www.rfuipf.org.uk/
This charity is close to my heart as I am so passionate about rugby, and those of you who play will know just how easy it is to pick up an injury. Thankfully none of you have sustained any severe spinal or brain injuries, but just spare a thought for those who have. Imagine how dramatically your life would change, all from playing a single match of the game you love.
Please help this charity to continue its amazing work by donating absolutely anything you can, it's cliche but it's true - every little helps :) THANK YOU!!! xx
