Story
Update: The ride was completed ahead of schedule in 9 days on a blustery and wet day at Lands End. Many thanks to everyone who has donated and those B & B's who put me up during my time in Scotland. Total mileage in the end was around the 950 mile mark as we opted to cross the Seven Bridge.
Specials thanks to both;

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. Every day six families in the UK are told their loved one has been killed in a road crash - The money donated here is being raised to help Brake, the road safety charity – that works to stop road deaths and provides help and support to the victims.
I am preparing to ride the length of the country in just 10 days. I will be completing the task in loving memory of my sister, Beth Fitton, who fell victim to a road accident in July 2007, aged just 23, along with Salma ElSharkawy.
The Charity: For those of you that had the pleasure in knowing Beth, here you have an opportunity to raise money for a charity which is campaigning to make the standards for safe work vehicles stricter - something that could have made a real difference to the accident which caused Beth's tragic death.
For those of you that didn't know Beth or the circumstances surrounding her death, this is still a great opportunity to help raise money for a charity that constantly strives to make our roads safer for all of us, including drivers and passengers of work vehicles, young drivers and the children on our pavements and streets. The charity also provides expert and sensitive support to people whose lives have been devastated by a death or serious injury on the road, and it also runs countless safety campaigns.

The Event: I am participating in a bicycle ride from the most north easterly point of Britain's four corners, John O'Groats all the way to Lands End over a period of just 10 days. I will endure a gruelling ride of 100 miles per day, every day in order to raise money for our chosen charities. In order to complete this task I will be training five days a week for the next four to five months. I will be setting off from John O'Groats on Friday the 26th of August.
Just Giving: Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please donate now any amount, small or large whatever you can comfortably afford will be warmly welcomed. Wish me luck!
Life is a Beautiful Thing - Beth Fitton 2007
Follow your dreams along the paths they take you,
Listen to your heart over your head, it will guide you.
Go forward with a mind always open,
Being safe but not over cautious,
Trust your instincts, they are often true ....
And when they are not, which sometimes they won't be ....
That’s a life lesson learned, which will help to teach you.
Remember these experiences, do not forget ....
One day they may be useful, to you and to others.
Enjoy every moment you live,
and treasure every memory you make.
Give trust to the true friends you make,
Know who they are and value their friendship.
A true friend wishes for you, only the best.
Love like you've never been hurt,
And dance like nobody is watching!
Life is a beautiful thing.
