Story
As you all know I am in not the best of shapes over the past couple of years due to an abdominal injury. This injury has led me to gain weight exponentially. Over the next months I am going to part-take in Tough Mudder which is a 10-12 mile long obstacle course. In order to do this my fitness levels should to an adequate level.
As of today I start my journey to fitness which I will blog about every week. I will make videos to show my progress and by the will of God I will be able to complete the challenge in 11 months. In this blog which I will publish next week I will give my initial stats with a before picture. I will write an update every week about my training, nutrition and activities that are helping me reach my goal. At the end of each month I will post a video to show my progression.
This is the biggest challenge of my life but others are in a worse situation than I am. People die from thirst and the lack of water EVERYDAY!
One of the most common causes of death in the developing world is drinking dirty and diseased water. We take clean water for granted and can access it freely at the turn of a tap; for those less fortunate than us it can be a matter of life and death.
I am raising money for Penny Appeal's Thirst Relief project. This project is about installing wells and providing safe, clean drinking water to some of the poorest people in the world. Without access to clean water, communities cannot grow healthy food, making them more likely to be sick and unable to work or go to school. In turn, these communities are more likely to be trapped in poverty.
My aim is to raise £165,000 over 11 months in East Africa. That is 50 wells! We can help 10's of thousands of people every day! For more information about the project follow this link http://www.pennyappeal.org/appeal/thirst-relief
Please share this far and wide and let's help these people.
