RACE FOR LOVE 2021

We are continuing to raise funds for Saying Goodbye in 2021 by helping to coordinate ‘Race for Love’  a team of runners taking on 5 different runs across the UK.

As part of Dave’s 50th  Birthday Celebrations he will be talking part the The Great South Run (10k) and The Royal Parks Half Marathon

2020 - fundraising update! 

Cake sale and Raffle Thank you to Teenys Cupcakes and The Cork and Cheese for kindly hosting a cake sale and raffle 

P24 Twist Challenge COVID has meant that we have not been able to host our annual Snowball or JAMZ  funday, or take part in any organised sporting events. However our amazing friend Nicky  is taking on an endurance challenge called P24 twist. From 8am on Saturday 24th October to 8 am Sunday 25th on the hour every hour  she will run a mile, the twist the clocks go back this weekend so it's 25 hours of running a mile every hour... easy right??? some of the miles have challenges such as family mile at 2pm, sprint mile at mile 12 (they are hilarious) booze mile for number 13 , midnight mile is fancy dress the final mile is the breakfast mile done in pjs ready for bed ! 

Our story

2012 we were told the words no parent ever wants to hear.. “I’m sorry there’s no heartbeat” . Our son Bumpy was born sleeping at 18 weeks, and we attended our first Saying Goodbye remembrance service in 2013. 

Saying Goodbye helped us so much we now want to help others by raising both vital funds and heightening  awareness of the work and support available through the charity.

This page was initially set up as husband David and friend Nicky took part in the Royal Parks Half Marathon in October 2019  to raise funds for Saying Goodbye, we have now extended the page to include all the fundraising events we take part in to share the support from the local community.

Prior to this we have arranged Charity Balls(Snowballs) fundays, taking part in various sporting events, funruns, Active warriors challenges, zipwires and a Skydive.
