For those that don't know me, I'm Joanna and I have stage 4 ALK+ Cancer. 

Diagnosed a little over 3 years ago, I've managed well with my disease. However, with ALK+ still being a relatively rare form of cancer, treatment options are limited. 

There are currently only 2 approved treatment lines in the UK. I'm on my second line now and my cancer is still growing. Without more treatment options, I'll die. It's that simple. And I really don't want to leave my family and 2 young children. 

Research is vital in helping me, and tens of thousands of others, live longer. 

ALK+ International was set up by patients and their carers with the sole aim of raising money for research. 100% of money raised goes to funding this.

We are hosting a Charity Quiz Night on 27th January 2023 at The Station in Helmshore. A night of fun quizzing and more to raise much needed funds for this amazing charity. 

We also have 4 willing participants braving a wax in order to raise vital funds for this amazing charity. This will be held at the Station on Sunday 8th January from 1pm.
