Story

My story starts with my dad went away to America for the first time to meet friends that he has made over the years through his Facebook He-Man group MOTU/POP EVOLUTION, this is where he has made some amazing friends all over the world for example, out of the 52 states in America he knows people across 41 of the states and also India/ Australia/ Canada/ Germany/ France/ Italy/Spain/France among others
but I could go on all day... It would probably be easier for me to say the country’s he hasn’t yet got friends in. I know many reasons why he has all these friends, he is the most down to earth person you will meet, will do anything for anyone that would do the same for him, he’s honest, supportive, kind hearted and never fails to keep a smile on everyones face by his big kiddish ways & nothing keeps him.down for long. He’s the reason I’ll never give up and will do anything to make him proud of me . I know that his friends would have done anything to see him at Power Con 2023 in Ohio USA My dad was extremely excited for this trip of a lifetime & life experience, he’s a great friend to them all and never stops talking about them and will help them with anything they need, I can imagine this is the same with them too. So his plan was to travel around America to meet and greet his friends and they can all come together at Power Con and be big kids together, but unfortunately, his plan did not go the way he expected. He met up with his friends Mike & Samantha in Tennessee where he had an amazing 3 days, jet skiing, wake boarding, boating & going to a gun range to fire weapons, they all went to get some food which is when my dad started to feel strange he can’t remember much from this point he went back to his holiday home and next morning headed to Ohio with Samantha & Jess on a 6 hr roadtrip which he doesn’t remember alot from this point on
At the hotel in Ohio is friends Sam & Julie knew something wasn’t right and told my dad to go for a lay down in there hotel room when he wasn't responding back to there phonecalls or messages which is unheard of for my dad, so the girls went straight back to there hotel to find him unresponsive, she called the ambulance to come and take him into hospital and was taken into ER. 2 days later he he got rushed to ICU and was put on life support battling for his life with my grandad by his side. When my dad came back around after being in a coma for 3 weeks he was unable to see out of his right eye , he couldn't talk or even move
plus to be told he might not be able to walk again...

To be continued.

But for more detail, Guillain-Barré syndrome is a rare autoimmune condition affecting the peripheral nervous system, usually leading to temporary or long-term paralysis. Around 80% of those with GBS will make a good recovery, but between 5-10% of people will not survive and the other 10-15% may be left with severe mobility or dexterity issues. GAIN helps people understand and manage both acute and chronic variants of the syndrome, raises awareness, and promotes clinical and non-clinical research into these conditions.
