Story
On 20 June 2015, a group of MOD staff aim to become the first team of civilian defence staff to complete the Race Across America - one of the world’s toughest and most renowned endurance events.
Organised by the Defence Sports & Recreational Association (DSRA) and in support of The Charity for Civil Servants, the challenge for Team DSRA is to cycle a 3000 mile route from San Diego on the west coast of America to Annapolis on the east - all in just nine days!
“This is a massive and very exciting project” says Dom White from DSRA. “As well as celebrate our 25th anniversary, highlight the importance of teamwork and good health and bring together a group of civilian staff from many of the MOD’s different business areas, we’re delighted to be able to help a brilliant charity that supports so many of our colleagues across the country”.
The Charity for Civil Servants supports all civil servants, past and present, throughout their lives with whatever problems they may have. We’ve set a target of £3,000 (£1 for every mile the team will have to cover).
Thank you for your support.
