‘ The Sound of Silence ‘……
10 years ago 'Mum’ passed away from an incurable brain tumour. The average survival rate is less than a year from the diagnosis of a grade 4 glioblastoma.
Brain cancer receives very little government funding and although progress has been made in treatment and research there are only a handful of groups globally making strides here.
Mum greatly believed in research as the best way to fight disease and dedicated much of her time to that end. We would desperately like future generations to feel that when they hear a Glioblastoma diagnosis they also hear hope and not simply 'a death sentence'.
The Abrahams family is establishing the UCL Gliobastoma Fund in memory of Celia Abrahams. The fund will support Dr Paul Mulholland's lifelong research into Glioblastoma.

To launch the fundraising campaign, we will be carrying out a 'sponsored silence' where we have pledged not to utter a word for 24 hours. This will take place on 26th/27th November 2021.
Please help us to help fund the science and enjoy some well earned ‘peace and quiet!'
