Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit Teygan's JustGiving page.
We have dedicated this fundraising page to the beautiful memory of a much loved son, brother, grand son and adored cousin Teygan.
Teygan was a first year university student, who had just started his Russian studies course at Manchester. He was settled and enjoying his student life, doing well in his studies and making new friends. He was in a great new chapter of his life...and he was loving it.
Then suddenly , unexpectedly, he got meningitis. This was despite having been vaccinated for meningitis C prior to starting University.
One day he was well, then the next day he was ill. No warning. He was rushed to hospital ..but couldn't be saved.
He was 19 years old and cruelly taken by group B meningococcal septicaemia.
We need to raise awareness of this terrible disease not only in babies and very young children but also for students starting University.
We need to promote vaccinations for MenC for all students and push for the introduction of the MenB.
Please support us in anyway you can...in memory of Teygan
