Hackney Half Marathon · 20 May 2018
Anthony Nolan is a blood cancer charity that facilitates stem cell transplants for people with blood cancer and blood disorders. Every day 5 people in the UK start searching for a stem cell match.
After hearing some of the incredible, emotional and sometimes heartbreaking stories of people touched by Anthony Nolan's work we'll be taking on the Hackney Half Marathon in May to help Anthony Nolan save more lives - and because two halves make a whole, we'll call it a combined marathon.
It's a global register, so even if you're not living in the UK you could still be helped by our work if you are ever in need. You can donate in AUD or GBP but if you're living in the UK make sure you tick the gift aid box! We're grateful for any donation, big or small.
Better yet, donate AND join the register. 90% of the time it's just like donating blood and it could save someone's life. In the UK visit www.anthonynolan.org/join and in Aus go and donate blood and ask to join.
About Anthony Nolan
Every day, Anthony Nolan saves the lives of people with a blood cancer or blood disorder. They do this by matching incredible individuals willing to donate their stem cells, to people who desperately need a lifesaving transplant. They also carry out cutting edge scientific research, fund specialist post-transplant nurses and support patients and their families through the transplant process and beyond. They won’t stop until they save the lives of everyone who needs a stem cell transplant. Every penny you donate brings them closer to that day.
