Story
On 27th September 2021 at 12.29am, I gave birth to my beautiful daughter knowing that she wouldn't come home with me, my 21+5 week pregnancy was over and my life had changed forever. I know that my girl came to keep me company when I needed her the most but I didn't get to repay her with the love that was overflowing from me.
Whilst pregnant I would play classical music to her, sing and dance around the house, make sure I was eating right - barring the fruit pastille obsession she gave to me - honestly, this was beyond a craving! I would speak life into her not knowing that it would be cut short. She became my everything and probably would've been smothered had she lived, my mum found me so funny during my pregnancy!
A week before losing Jett, my waters broke prematurely (PPROM) and I lived in hope that my daughter would survive knowing that there was a very slim chance of this, although she held on for this time as I lived in hope of a miracle. Unfortunately, I developed an almost inevitable infection and had to make the very difficult choice between myself and my precious daughter! Giving birth to her was the hardest yet most beautiful experience that I'll always cherish.
This year I've had to navigate so many difficult situations, however I know that my girl has given me a drive and openness that has supported other people on their grief journeys after baby loss so I thank her for helping mummy! Moreover, I have had tremendous support from loved ones (thank you) and Abigail's so in order to honour my precious girl on her 1st heavenly birthday and to thank this amazing charity, please donate to support other bereaved parents. Thank you to Abigail's for being champions of cooling cots in hospitals and providing much needed bereavement counselling.
