Story
Our personal experience:
The NeoAngels charity provided us with some truly priceless keepsakes that we will treasure forever and one day, show to Albert. They gifted us a scrapbook which the nurses lovingly wrote in regularly to celebrate the little milestones you might take for granted for a newborn such as, wearing clothes for the first time, breathing on their own and taking a bath! The charity also gave us daily food vouchers to spend in the vendors within the hospital so we could take some time away from the unit without worrying about the financial burden that could easily add up! A lovely volunteer visited once a week just to chat and make sure we were okay. Again, the love, support and nurture given by the incredible nurses and doctors on this unit was phenomenal- Albert now has an extended family of 'SCBU Aunties' who cared for him like he was their own. They made going home to rest easier because we knew our Albert was so loved and well looked after. Finally, the charity also funded a vCreate app which allowed the nurses to send us photo and message updates when we were not at the hospital with Albert. The comfort they provided was just amazing. We can't thank this charity and the unit enough for what they did to help our Albert - true angels on earth!
