Team Xoserve are taking part in one of the toughest challenges in the UK.

The CARE Snowdonia Marathon Trek takes you over three of the highest and toughest mountain ranges in Wales requiring you to summit Carnedd Llewelyn (1064m), Glyder Fawr (999m) and the mighty Snowdon (1085m) before you descend into Llanberis, a total of 26 miles.

Our team comprises of Simon Bissett, Mark Cockayne, Mina Lala, Paul Orlser, Maurice Cleary, Tom Elce and Sue Nunnington.

Your funds will support CARE International. CARE is one of the world’s top three aid agencies, fighting poverty and injustice in 87 countries around the world and helping vulnerable people to find routes out of poverty. We deliver long term programmes to fight poverty, and are always among the first to respond to emergencies.
Currently, CARE is working in West Africa, where heavy rains in Niger, Benin and Chad have resulted in severe flooding, making thousands of people homeless and destroying their crops. Thanks to fundraising, CARE have been able to distribute emergency aid, including food and basic shelter, and we have also been repairing boreholes damaged in the flood, to re-instate a clean source of water.

CARE also works with communities on a long-term basis to ensure they are better equipped to deal with disasters in the first instance, for example by helping to build proper water and sanitation facilities. CARE is also one of the most efficient aid and development agencies, with 94 pence in every pound raised going directly to our relief work.
