Story

Thanks for visiting our JustGiving page. This January we're taking on Dryathlon® and raising money for Cancer Research UK. We’ll be ditching the drink for one month to help bring forward the day when all cancers are cured. All of us have been affected by cancer in some way; either directly or indirectly.

For myself, my Mum lost a very short battle with pancreatic cancer in 1996. She was neither a drinker or smoker and lived a relatively healthy life - cancer is no respecter of stereotypes. In addition I have many friends who have fought / are fighting their own personal battles.

Whilst I'm not a big drinker (give me a bar of chocolate over a glass of wine anyday!), Alan and I have decided to donate  the equivalent of what we would have spent on alcohol for the month of January to this worthwhile cause and if any of you would like to add your own donation to our page - thank you.
