Nearly 7 years ago we, the family and friends of Harry Mootoosamy, lost him to pancreatic cancer. He was 39 years old, a young Dad and husband taken away far too soon.
In his honour, The Harry-Krish Mootoosamy Foundation was launched, raising money for two key aims:
- providing music therapy for seriously ill children
- raising awareness of, and helping to fight, the devastating effects of pancreatic cancer
Harry was a fantastic father, husband, brother, son, uncle and friend to many. He was incredibly proud of his Mauritian heritage so, in his honour, 53 of his friends and family will be undertaking a virtual run/cycle/row from London, UK to Port Louis, Mauritius between 1st April and 31st July 2021.
Together, over a period of 17 weeks, we will cover a massive total of 9,299 miles. On the way we will virtually travel through: France, Spain, Algeria, Niger, Nigeria, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Democratic Republic of Congo, Burundi, Tanzania, Malawi, Mozambique and Madagascar, before finally arriving In Mauritius.
This is a very, very long way. So, please, make it a little bit easier as we pound the roads, footpaths, pedals and rowing machines, and give whatever you're able to support a brilliant cause.
Thank you!
